Remember how they lived

Remember how they lived

By May Kwek

It is hard to see someone go
Someone you love very much
Their laugh their smile
Their gentle touch

The memories hurt
But these we keep
Although these thoughts
Make us weep

For death is but a moment
Life is forever
So hold the memories close
Like a precious treasure

Remember how they lived
Not how they died
Remember every courage
 Remember every brave fight

For the life is what they lived
The death was but a door
Which they entered
So we could see them no more

But they are with us still
In the memories of our hearts
A bond still alive
Which nothing can tear apart

So yes they are gone
But yet still alive
So remember how they lived
And not that they died
